Thanks for choosing to sell locally on YLB. Lets make this really short and easy..

Amazing photos are the secret … You need really effective, good looking photos to show off the best of your product. Luckily, we have a very our own incredible photography teacher Luke with some tutorials to show you how to do it..

Using Communities to sell

YLB is all about local communities. Please share your offers with them, you are permitted up to 2 a day per community and you can join up to 20 local communities. If you listen carefully to what the buyers are asking for they may ask for exactly what you are selling!

Please do not spam community members and kindly observe the etiquette outlined in the community guidelines.

The more you participate in communities to offer real help, the more trust you will earn and more business you should get.

Try to offer real genuine value to the community, they will really appreciate it!

Great Customer Service

More than anything, incredible customer service will bring back loyal customers time and time again.

At YLB we expect our sellers to go beyond the norm to offer our customers the best customer service anywhere! What does this mean?

Well there are the basics…

  • 1. Posting or delivering your products at the earliest opportunity
  • 2. If collection: making sure you are in for the specified time
  • 3. Making sure your wrapping looks wow!
  • 4. Double-checking your listings for up-to-date accuracy and changes
  • 5. Quick response time on enquiries
  • 6. Helpful in-depth responses that assures the customer
  • 7. Making sure your product is exactly as listed
  • 8. Tracking your customers’ delivery and checking that they received it ok and in one piece
  • 9. Helping with directions for pick-up
  • 10. Make sure fresh produce is…. FRESH!

Then there are the extra touches such as:

  • Leaving a note in their parcel.
  • Greeting the customer at the door with a smile and waving them off
  • The occasional freebie
  • Sending the customer a personalised loyalty offer
  • Offering loyal customers offers first
  • Recommending where customers can find something relevant to accompany their purchase
  • Before asking for a review, ask how they are getting on with their purchase

Abiding by the rules

A great seller is one who offers, amazing product, amazing service, and also adheres to the rules of YLB. We have to keep YLB in tip-top shape for all, that means no abusing the communities and selling illegal goods. All stuff you probably know already. You can find out more in our terms and conditions.
